Here are some texts from our exhibition on Bulgarian history, geography, school system and Gorna Oryahovitsa. We displayed them with pictures from the meeting, but forgot to take pictures from the exhibition L. It was for the students at our school – in German of course, sorry!

Dissemination of the second year activity

During the second year we continued to spread information on what was going on as articles were published in the

local newspaper, the project corner was updated with news, on 9 May there was a meeting at the town`s Center for

Youths where people working on different project and initiatives demonstrated among the local community the aims and results of their activities ( Elina Kabakchieva and Antoaneta Stamenova presented there the three Comenius projects that went in our school). In the beginning of July the coordinator from “M.Lomonosov” Secondary school

organized in the district town of Veliko Turnovo another meeting where participants from four towns talked about

their projects, discussed common ideas and shared opinion on the topics.We exchanged the sites so that they activities and results could be seen by more people because when something good is happening it should announced and be used as a valuable resource of knowledge and practice.

Evaluation of the Comenius project at school No. 6

On 16 june 2011 at School No.6 took place a festivity for the evaluation of the two years of Comenius Project where was invited representatives from the local community that helped us to develop the project.

The end of the project: feelings… GREEK TEAM

The Comenius project is a project that supplied us all with plentiful gifts.

The contact with our partners filled the palette of our emotions with many colors. Meeting new friends was an excellent opportunity for our life, as the participating countries were very different from each other.

Our knowledge about the traditions and values of the participating countries was particularly interesting. The great amount of images we had during these two years, empowered us. The experience, knowledge and performances contributed to an objective vision of the European world.

We developed and deepened our knowledge on matters of ecology. After each communication the need to protect the environment was strengthened. We will not forget everyone’s thrill when all the partners planted one or two trees in our school yard during the hosting of the partners in our country.

The projects we made with pleasure, the pleasure of creation, made us proud. We were proud when we made them known to our teachers, to our city, to the communities, to our parents, and when we saw them displayed on the website was created for this purpose on the Internet for the needs of the program.

We learned about the educational systems of the other countries and with pride we found out that ours is the same in many cases. We felt that we are one big family that has every reason to strive for the same values. We, as young people, need to maintain and promote anything positive that resulted from our two-year action.

There may be sorrow because of the end of the program, but it will be balanced by the joy of communication with the new friends we made and we will maintain in the future.
We thank all those that helped to build this exciting experience.

Polish week in Bulgaria

“Poland in the eyes of young people ” – in the end of May the Bulgarian team devoted its intercultural
activity to the Polish week. Three students prepared information about the partner country. They introduced to the others the location of Poland in central Europe and its bordering countries and the Baltic Sea using the Internet on -line map,discussed its strategic position on the continent and geographical features for the development of industry; learned that the Polish state occured around 960 and its first ruler was Prince Mieszko I of Pyastite dynasty. In 966 Poland adopted Christianity and in the late 14th century – the Catholicism. The 16th century became important as the “Golden Age of Poland”. Since 1600 Warsaw is the capital of the state;the official state symbol of the country -the Polish flag was adopted on 7th February 1831. Polish culture is closely connected with the country`s history. In areas such as literature, music and art creators strive to help fight for Independence of Poland – the works of Adam MIckiwich, the historical paintings of Jan Matejko and the music of Frederic Chopin.
